Be a bit careful of cast iron. It first appears in Europe in the 1160's from China and was not in common use until the 14th century. Most cooking was done in clay pots. The cauldrons we like to think ... |

Hi Kristin
Side lacing is a 12th century style. Most commonly associated with a 'Court" style of dress worn in France known as a Bliaut.
