Grumbling Sentry notes:
Oh well... No War is a Good War.
But what about all the artilery we've been hoarding?
Phhaaarrrkk...
Come on... someone attack us...
Phooaar! Look at the size of those counter weights. |

Poor Lonesome Pilgrims.
Tentative suggestion.
Okay... so who's in for a tramp over the Tararuas in kit with a pack horse? FEB March
Looking to hook up with the Eke crew on the otherside Coming out @ Kakariki Road, Nireaha/Hamua and going in upstream from the Managahao white water centre. |

And unfortunately the only thing that brings to mind is the following.
Kit ie: Chain maille, White water, Peter Plumley Walker.
Sorry
cheers

Fantastic ! Correct Latin and incorrect English! Gotta love it!
Edit: on second note, it should be pacem, I think, not pacum? However, parabellum and/or para bellum is correct either way. Latin words are usually written lower case though.

Thank the goddess I am not any longer the only one keen on this (having said that, Q. and other Living History people might be interested too).
The date needs careful planning as so many events are on Feb/March!
How many days would you suggest?
And period shoes or modern tramping boots? The rest of the gear is medieval either way, I assume.
I am so in... |

Ok cool Not A Problem I will on your advice stay very far away from HYPOTHERMIA AND FROSTBITE and not too mention the added horrors of geting kicked by a mule

Orclanders.
Saw D, forgot to mention it.
Scotti and co. will be heading for Mausiceville Fair on Dec 2.
Expect prelim trip planning to proceed at that date.
All other parties can scribble interest here.
Kakariki Rd Stead is probably all good, will confirm by date above.
>>Could be an option to use trip to get to hard camp as well... dates though.
More of a challenge weatherwise. |

yeah ok you may think that but actually I did most of my outdoor instructor training in the tararuas, so i know some of those hills intimately and I know how hard they are when they decide that you are over stepping your boundries.
