NAAMA is just around the corner and it's time for me to ask - who now has archery-safe helmets (heavy combat kit)?
We would really like to run a decent heavy combat session at NAAMA with direct fire arrows, maybe siege, the whole nine yards. I know there are more than last year, but I'd really like to get an indication of numbers so we can organise some interesting games and scenarios accordingly.
So put up your hand all those who have archery mesh and a gorget? If not archery mesh, at least no opening on your helmet bigger than 5mm accross or the ability to cover any opening with padding, polycarbonate or safety strong glasses for your eyes. If a 5mm dowel can be poked through your helmet and touch your skin then it's not an archery safe helmet.
