Now, that's what I call fighting... this year's Clontarf rocked with awesome weather with slight cloud cover and more than 20 fights among the five competing teams that all fought fiercly for victory. Hardly any injuries and heaps of memorable fights including some that have already become legends! Further descriptions, picture and video links to follow.
Now, do not bother asking for details as I am about to pass out. More soon!
PS: The food was absolutely amazing!!! Thanks, cooks!! |

And for those that didn't go who actually won? _________________ did they beat the drums slowly
did the play the fife lowly
did they sound the death march as they lowered you down
did the band play the last post and chorus
did the pipes play the flowers of the forest |

Another fantastic Clontarf.
The day was overcast and the track was firmish.
Five teams took part in this years Clontarf.
The Ravens fielded a full team of eight as did The Company of the Dragon and the Argent Lords.
The remaining teams were comprised of Shaymus's Irish Irregulars and The Pirates of Connaught.
The Fighting was hard but fair and while the injuries had the potential to be horrific nothing more appeared to be sustained then the odd scratch and a few bruises.
Finishing in fifth and taking the Woden Spoon
The Irish Irregulars
In fourth and making a great showing with only 5 fighters
The Pirates of Connaught
Third and taking home the dagger
The Argent Lords
In second after a hard fought 5 fight final
The Company of the Dragon
In first and taking home the sword known as Abu Mohr, a selection of tokens and a bundle of leather hides.
The Red Ravens.
Thank you all for playing and we'll see you all next year.
Cheers
