One thing I alway forget to take to camps, and find that I always need, is teatowels. You can never have enough of them.

one of those dish wand thingys are good (the ones that can have the dish soap in the handle) _________________ did they beat the drums slowly
did the play the fife lowly
did they sound the death march as they lowered you down
did the band play the last post and chorus
did the pipes play the flowers of the forest |

Actually those bath loofahs that you can get are really good. They are rough enough to take the food off, but not so rough as to strip the non-stick layer off your cast ironware - and certainly more period-looking. probably a reasonable fake for the period 'handfull of rush stalks' (or straw?).
