Unless you are a sword geek, this may not mean much, but on December 27 Jody Samson died in his workshop in the US.
You may remember the swords he made for the two Conan films back in the 1970s, but he also did a lot of fantasy swords, and was an inspiration for my own career.

Has this been confirmed? Every fora I've visited wasn't too sure on the matter.

Colin, www.jodysamson.com has a brief obituary on the opening page and all links have been put on hold.
Truly a sad day.
