Hello All
I'm looking to organise a roving marks competition and a distance shoot using the English Warbow Society format later this year. What I require is access to 80 acres or more of land somewhere in the region, so if anyone knows where that could be please drop me a line. The shoot would initially be open to any sort of bow as long as it doesn't have sights and things sticking out of it. If there is enough interest however I would run one that is more of a traditional longbow/horsebow type event.
Cheers

Hey Keith,
Definitly would be interested, once it's sorted plenty of notice please so travel etc can be arranged.
I've looked at the English Warbow Society website and that does look like fun (not sure how successful I'd be but the fun would make up for it)

Hi Grayson
It's all about fun mate. As soon as I can access some land I will be putting the details on here, hopefully with several weeks notice.
Arrow weight will be the governing criteria for the distance shoots, there will be 2 or 3 different classes. The rove will be open slather and the maximum distance of a mark won't exceed the max distance of any one's (adults) bow (everyone will need to know what their's is).
Cheers

Ok it's on. I've secured a location (subject to inspection) I'm looking at putting on 4 per year (if there's enough interest) one for each season. I will post more details about the event later. At the moment the first shoot could be mid May (Autumn) or early/late June (winter).
What would be the best date?
Keith.

Thanks to all who helped organise and participated in last Saturday shoot. It was a total success and will be repeated in the spring. Does anyone have photos? and does anyone know Kerry/Kerri's? contact details?
