Hey Admins
Firstly the site is awesome!
The subject kind of says it all, a spell checker would be amazing - i dont know if this is a real pain to do - i use google chrome on my laptop and it seems to be able to use the browser spell checker - but on my partners laptop with firefox it doesn't, so i copy it out into word and then copy it back.
Perhaps there is a way to allow firefox to spel check the field as well?

Firefox underlines misspelled words in red so that you can correct manually. If your laptop is not doing this it may be the laptop.

Ok well thats strange - i dont really understand but mine doesnt do it. neither on my pc or my gf we both use firefox 3 beta release so i dont know whats going on - i will look into it again - probably something really simple.
Google chrome works so i dont really care - just thought it was a problem other people might have.

google bar also has a spell check button (thankfully)

ChronicD - check to make sure firefox is up to date - you might have an older version that doesn't support spell checking or check the settings to see if it has been turned off

Yeah - am on 3.0.10 which i believe is the latest build, how does one turn the spell checker off and on - i found some where saying to go into about: config and change something from a 1 to a 2. didnt help?

Click on tools > Options > Advance > general > under the heading Browsing and make sure "Check my spelling as i type" is ticked  hope this helps

Yeah its on - im throwing in the towel on this one. will just stick with chrome when on GD.
