Saw these in Trade Aid in Takapuna:
They're pretty heavy and the bowl is the perfect size for a fist.
I didn't want them, but it's the kind of thing you can't get for love-nor-money if it's what you're after. So I thought I'd post a photo here...
They look perfect for a brass buckler or maybe a Roman shield (if you're that way inclined).
