On the subject of Chariots, a treasure hoard recently found in Turdjikistan, to the the East of the Caspian Sea, contained a lovely bronze sculptured model of a Persian Chariot with horses, a driver and a passenger who is probably a Satrap (Iranian for a provincial governor of the area or "satrapy"). 1 0f 8 objects found in the stash.
Dates from the Achmaemonid ( Persian for "I hate trying to spell that") period.

If Curds come from Kurdistan (sorry Miss Muffet) then what comes from Turdjikistan? The same site were you will find the info about the Roman Rapier Style long Spatha sword. _________________ Disclaimer:Opinions expressed by Warlord Drustan, this debauched demented megalomaniac are solely his own & do not reflect those of LegioIIAugusta or the Roman people in any way. |
