so i have a friend who happens to live at duddings lake... a great big open area.
i went out there with my bow and had a few shots.
and when i thought of doing a marks competition there, i enquired and they seemed really keen to have the event at duddings lake.
there would b a small camping fee as it is a public camping grounds but with enough of us, we would get a discount and they would close the grounds for us.
at the moment there will be something done on a spit for dinner as we can all camp on site. im looking at a sheep.(the computer screen has a sheep on it...) but also thinking of doing one on the spit
at this stage i am looking at a show of hands for who is interested

this is the site here but they are saying postage is too much for a single bow

If you are looking a buying what they advertise as a warbow, I would say it was about 20lb to light, just a lookalike.
Also think that these prices are US$ so maybe not as cheep as they look.
It may be better to save your pennies and get one made locally, or if you are good with the wood make your own. There are a number of people around NZ that are into bow making. _________________ Virtus sola invicta - Virtue alone is invincible |

I totally agree, like Archer says, if that's Yankee bucks then there are better options avalible to you. It all really depends what you want the bow for. |

oh yes def american but with the exchange rate right now is only about $170 and anything I have seen here in nz tops over $300 for a similar bow
I would so love it if someone would call me noob and show me a place that could match that or even be just somewhere round that price... |

Now we're coming to the point of what defines a warbow and 55lbs aint nowhere near it. |
