its an not particuly good attempt at a 16th c harness
well at least the helm is , helm is serpost to be a 16th c morion but has a horrable shape issue
the chestplate is miss shapen too long and badly ridged down the center
and is very flat sided
would also hinder all waist movement
the tassets are wronge also need more lames and a bit better shape
knees are too flat
and pouldrens are bad at best
the elbows dont apair to be all that bad all things considering
the suit would be bearly functional for foot combat and would
end up being uncomfortable to wear
personaly i wouldnt touch it but thats just me
and i can make my own far better =D
regaurds

While I agree with Tank - its not the best attempt - for the price of $690 plus perhaps around $300 worth of alterations it could be a perfectly functioning suit.
Compare that with a whole new suit custom made you will save around 1- 3K depending on the armourer.
It depends on your ability to adapt the suit - there are far worse suits out there used in combat.
Make a nice display for someone though!
Anyone know the history behind it? - Dunedin - so could be an SCA armourer or an old import. _________________ Ignorance is bliss, knowledge is power.
