Hi folks
I agree with Phil - and the adidas guards should do. I've done so escrima using something similar to the UK guards Phil describes and you do feel the pressure but you don't get the damage. They also protect against whacks quite well but I think point strikes (what a rondel does) might still go through somewhat. Not sure how hard. I'll let Callum attack me and tell you!
I get an instructor's discount at AMAS too so if there are enough interested I can arrange an order.
