I found what looked like two interesting books on the Varangian Guard whilst looking in ABE Books over the weekend.
1 Viking Road to Byzantium (no ISBN supplied) Price 85.00 US
2 Varangians of Byzantium (ISBN 0521217458) Price $417.33 US
There were several others ranging in price from around $30.00 US up.
